Shannon Murray began her design journey in the fashion industry. There she learned the value of functional designs and the experience shaped her into an expert on color. But seeking a slightly different path of design, Shannon enrolled in the Hickory Chair Furniture School to learn the ins and outs of designing and constructing comfortable, functional, and beautiful furniture. Today, Shannon has accumulated all her knowledge of design, applied it to interiors, and serves clients in Westchester County of New York and beyond with her full-service interior design firm, Shannon Murray Interiors.
For seventeen years Shannon and her marvelous team have been making their clients’ design dreams come true. With their focus on client-centric style, Shannon Murray Interiors has earned an exemplary reputation for creating beautiful spaces that feel like a personal sanctuary. “Learning the living habits of the family is extremely important,” Shannon explained to us. “The home should be functional but also comfortable and suitable to the lifestyle of the family.”
That’s exactly how Shannon Murray Interiors transformed this Florida home: by listening to the owner’s input on the style and design of their home. The house now possesses a contemporary flare, and the blended wenge floors with soft grey and pale yellow accents tie the whole space together. To highlight the beautiful floors, Shannon commissioned custom rugs to grace chosen areas.
For the kitchen, stainless steel was the theme, and it was carried outside to the stunning freestanding fireplace. Since the infinity edge pool was visible from the entrance to the backyard, Shannon Murray Interiors used the outdoor area to create a relaxing lanai space for the owners. With a love for entertaining guests, the clients were thrilled with their new serene location for hosting. Through thoughtful planning and careful execution, Shannon Murray Interiors gave their clients a home that matched their tastes perfectly.
